Keep your users informed with automatic email notifications when incidents occur.
How Notifications Work
When an incident is created or updated, PingPage automatically sends email notifications to all subscribers of your status page. Notifications are sent for:
- New incident creation
- Incident status updates (investigating, identified, monitoring)
- Incident resolution
Subscriber Management
Users can subscribe to your status page directly from the public page by entering their email address. You can also view and manage subscribers from your dashboard.
Each subscriber receives a confirmation email when they subscribe and can unsubscribe at any time via the link in notification emails.
Notification Statuses
Each notification has a delivery status:
- Pending — queued for delivery
- Sent — successfully delivered
- Failed — delivery failed (will not retry)
Email Content
Notification emails include the incident title, the current status, the update message, and a link to your public status page for full details. Emails are sent via SMTP and processed by the alerter service every 10 seconds.
